- What the heck is a Plug-In for CDStore? Because more and more users
- are requesting MORE features for CDStore, I decided to create an
- almost unlimited gateway to expandability for CDStore - Plug-In's!
- This allows MANY of the features users are requesting to be
- added on a regular basis. Users can select the Plug-In's they want
- and disregard the one's they don't want.
- Plug-In's will keep CDStore from blowing up to the size of a
- water buffalo with features some will use and others won't.
- As more Plug-In's are released, you can simply choose the ones you
- want!
-
- Look for them on GEnie, CompuServe and any other places I can send
- them to.
-
-
- NOTE: The Plug-In feature will only work under CDStore 3.0 or higher.
-
-
- CDMover is one of the (many to come) Plug-In programs for CDStore 3.0.
- This module is actually a stand-alone program designed exclusively
- for moving CD's from one category to another in CDStore.
-
- In order for CDMover to function properly, in must reside in the
- "PLUG-INS" drawer. If it's moved out of this drawer, it will definately
- NOT do what it was designed to do. If you installed CDStore 3.0 as stated
- in the Doc file (or Manual), then you're all set.
-
-
-
- HOW TO USE CDMover:
- ------------------
-
- To launch CDMover, select "Plug-Ins" from CDStore's Project menu.
- A small window will open showing a list of the available Plug-In
- modules currently installed.
-
- Double click on "CDMover" to launch it.
- At the top of the CDMover window is the Status field. This field will keep
- you posted as to what is happening at any given time. If at any point you
- need help - click on the "Help" button and a small display will pop up
- listing a step-by-step procedure (Outlined below...).
- To close the "Help" display, click the mouse anywhere on it.
-
-
- MOVING CD's:
- ===========
-
- Source Category:
- ---------------
- To move a CD from one category to another you need to first select
- the Category in the "Source Category" List window. All the CD's for
- that category will be displayed in the "CD to be Moved" List window.
- Once you've clicked on a category, it will be displayed in the
- "SOURCE" field at the upper right of the CDMover screen.
-
- CD to be Moved:
- --------------
- Next, in the "CD to be Moved" List window, click once on the CD title
- that you wish to move. The "CD" field at the upper right will display
- the CD you've selected.
-
- Destination:
- -----------
- Finally, select a category in the "Destination" List window.
- The selected destination category will be displayed in the "DEST"
- field.
-
- NOTE: Each List window (Source,CD and Destination) must be clicked
- on at least once. In other words, just because something is
- highlighted doesn't mean it's selected. You can tell if all
- three selections have been made by the contents of the three
- fields (SOURCE,CD,DEST).
-
-
- If all three options are satisfied, the "Move To" button will become
- active. Click on the "Move To" button to complete the move process.
-
-
- Once the CD has been moved, it will dissappear from the CD List window.
- To verify that the CD has in fact been moved, click on the category
- you moved it to and your CD will show up there.
-
- That's it!
-
-
- P.S. If you have some ideas for Plug-In's, please let me know.
-
-
-
- Hope you find CDMover usefull!
